For wedding parties, whats the maximum amount of people you can complete hair & makeup for?
It varies. If you book me to do makeup only, then the maximum would be 8 people.
For hair only bookings, the amount of people I can work with largely depends on the chosen style and hair type. If the hair style is relatively simple, then the maximum would be 7 people. With more intricate hair stylings, for hair only bookings, a maximum of around 4 people.
When brides book me to do both hair and makeup, the max is generally 4 people. When hair styles are particularly involved, realistically its only possible to do around 2 or 3 people for both hair & makeup. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your specific requirements.
How long does it take to complete the makeup?
It takes 45 minutes per person for makeup. I like to allow 1 hour for my brides.
How long does it take to style hair?
As hair styling largely depends on the chosen design and hair type, it varies. For simple hair ups, I allow between 30- 45 minutes per person. If your hair is thick or long, or if youre having curls, this can take between 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
When should I book you?
I recommend booking as soon as you know your wedding dates/ event date, to avoid disappointment book now...
Do you use Napoleon makeup?
Yes! I also like to use many of the other professional quality makeup brands such as M.A.C. I enjoy working with Maxfactor & mineral makeup brands: Glo Minerals & Bodyography. Napoleon foundation is my preference as Ive found it to be the best for ensuring optimal endurance. I really like how Napoleon foundations feel on the skin, its light weight, yet still provides a lasting full coverage. It's also appropriate for sensitive skin types.
Will the makeup last all day?
Absolutely! For extra staying power I use Napoleons camera finish powder which sets the makeup, ensuring it will last all day & night. Lips will need to be re-applied, especially the high shine glosses. These products aren't designed to last all day. For your convenience, I can supply you with a lip touch up colour & gloss.
Does my makeup up have to be 'caked' on?
No. The goal is to have you looking picture perfect and flawless, particularly for wedding photos. This does not mean caked on, but it does mean that you may need to wear more makeup than you might otherwise wear.
